Dates used:  1969 - 73
Inside of helmet:  Adjustrap
Manufacturer:  Sports Product Corp.
Logo:  real sticker
Thoughts:  The San Diego Padres are
born.  The helmet looks more black
than brown but it is just a really dark
chocolate color.

Dates used:  1962
Inside of helmet:  N/A
Manufacturer:  Me, literally.
Logo:  real sticker
Thoughts:  This is another helmet that I made.  It seems as though the Padres only wore a cap like this in '62.
Dates used:  1974 - 84

A Subsidiary of Laich
Thoughts:  Time for an early change in
uniform design.  This helmet brings
back thoughts of Dave Winfield.
1979 Topps Ozzie Smith Rookie Card
Dates used:  1974 - 84
Inside of helmet:  Grey Adjustrap

Manufacturer:  Fotoball
Thoughts:  Another Retro Helmet from Fotoball in 2003.

Dates used:  1985 - 90

Thoughts:  This was more of a short
lived design.  Tony Gwynn did a lot of
damage in this helmet.

Dates used:   1991 - 2003
Inside of helmet:  Adjustrap

Manufacturer:  Sports Product Corp.,

Thoughts:  A total change of colors
and uniforms that went to pinstripes.
The Padres actually visited the World
Series in this helmet.

Dates used:  2004 - Present
Inside of helmet:  Adjustrap
Logo:  screen printed
Manufacturer:  Fotoball
Thoughts:  I believe that this helmet
will be remembered for a long time by
a youngster named Kahlil Greene.

Dates used:  2006 - present
Inside of helmet:  Adjustrap
Logo:  screen printed
Manufacturer:  Well, I assume it's not made by Fotoball, but there is no name listed.  Maybe K2?
Thoughts:  This is the Sunday uniform that the Padres wear in salute to the Armed Forces.  The actual helmet they wear is slightly different because the letters are all white.

Manufacturer:  Not for sure
Thoughts:  A very bizarre promotional
giveaway.  The Padres don't were
helmets like this and the design of this
helmet lacks any air holes on the top
and the Adjustrap has only three
connections.  It is a very poorly made
helmet and the entire helmet is
painted.  Paint is chipping off
everywhere.  Let's hope this isn't what
all the new helmets will be like.
