Dates used:  1962 as a cap, was it also a helmet?
Inside of helmet:  N/A
Manufacturer:  Me, literally.
Logo:  real sticker
Thoughts:  This is another helmet that I made.
Now I've seen pictures of this same helmet with a grey top instead of white.  I guess I need to make one of those too.
Dates used:  1962 as a cap, was it also a helmet?
Inside of helmet:  N/A
Manufacturer:  Me, literally.
Logo:  real sticker
Thoughts:  This is another helmet that I made.  It would be interesting to find one like this, but I don't think it will ever happen.
Dates used:  1963- 67
Inside of helmet:  Foam padding, which is missing
Manufacturer:  Bobbie Enterprises
Logo:  real sticker
Thoughts:  One of the more difficult helmets to find.  This also still falls under the Kansas City Athletics until the year 1967 when they moved to Oakland.  Man, they even had to wear white shoes with this helmet!  This is the only photo I have ever found of the helmet.
Dates used:  1968 - 71
Inside of helmet:  N/A
Manufacturer:  Me, literally.
Logo:  real sticker
Thoughts:  This is a helmet I always wanted to find, never did, and decided to make it myself.  It looks nice in my opinion.  The real helmet showed up in Oakland with the move of the Athletics from Kansas City.
Dates used:  1968 - 71
Inside of helmet:  Foam padding, which is missing
Manufacturer:  Sports Product Corp.
Logo:  real sticker
Thoughts:  This is a helmet I always assumed existed, and now I have the proof.  There was a short time where the A's logo did not have the
apostrophe "s" on it and here is the proof!  Good luck finding this one.

Dates used:  1972 - 74
Inside of helmet:  Adjustrap with foam
Manufacturer:  Sports Product Corp.
Logo:  screen printed
Thoughts:  I think the dates are right on this helmet, but I'm not for sure.  This helmet is not an easy find.

Dates used:  1972 - 74
Inside of helmet:  Adjustrap
Manufacturer:  Sports Product Corp.
Logo:  screen printed
Thoughts:  I think the dates are right on this helmet, but I'm not for sure.  This helmet could be seen as the early days of Reggie Jackson.

Dates used:  1972 - 74
Inside of helmet:  Adjustrap plus foam
Manufacturer:  Sports Product Corp.
Logo:  screen printed
Thoughts:  This helmet is the same as the one above, but just a little bit different in color.

Dates used:  1972 - 74?
Inside of helmet:  N/A
Manufacturer:
Sports Product Corp., A
Subsidiary of Laich

Logo:  screen printed
Thoughts:
I finally found an all Kelly Green helmet!
Dates used:  1972 - 74?
Inside of helmet:  N/A
Manufacturer:  Me, literally
Logo:  sticker
Thoughts:  I recently found an all Kelly Green helmet, but this is one I made prior to that.  I think I put the "apostrophe" and the "s" to close to the "A."

Dates used:  Never as a helmet
Inside of helmet:  N/A
Manufacturer:  Me, literally
Logo:  sticker
Thoughts:  Another of my "What If?" helmets.  It would have been weird to see them in a helmet like this, but they did wear a cap like this as is evident by the photo,
but come to find out it was just a cap worn by the managers.
Dates used:  1975 - 79
Inside of helmet:  Adjustrap
Manufacturer:  Sports Product Corp., A
Subsidiary of Laich
Logo:  screen printed
Thoughts:  This is the good old Kelly  Green helmet.  This has always been one of my favorite helmets.

Dates used:
Inside of helmet:  Adjustrap
Manufacturer:  Sports Product Corp., A
Subsidiary of Laich
Logo:  screen printed
Thoughts:  This is just a duck billed helmet repro of the one above.

Dates used:  1975 - 79
Inside of helmet:  Grey Adjustrap
Manufacturer:  Fotoball
Logo:  screen printed
Thoughts:  Another Retro Helmet put out in 2003.  The logo is huge, the green is terrible, and I'm not impressed.  It's kelly green, not pale seaweed green boys!  Plus, there is that stupid TM logo again.  At least it's tiny on this helmet.

Dates used:  1980 - 83
Inside of helmet:  Adjustrap
Manufacturer:  Sports Product Corp., A
Subsidiary of Laich
Logo:  screen printed
Thoughts:  Notice the difference between this helmet and the one below.  This helmet is missing the little tail to the left of the "A's" logo.

Dates used:  1984 - Present
Inside of helmet:  Adjustrap
Manufacturer:  Sports Product Corp., A
Subsidiary of Laich
Logo:  screen printed
Thoughts:  This is what the A's still use today.  I guess the highlight of this helmet would have to be the bash brothers of McGuire and Canseco.

Dates used:  Never??
Inside of helmet:  Adjustrap
Manufacturer: K2/Rawlings?
Logo:  screen printed
Thoughts:
This fatter "A" apparently is just a different style of "A" used by the souvenir companies.  It also appears that the A's at sometime have chopped off the little swirl to the lower right of the "A" logo on their helmets, but not on their caps!  How bizarre.

Dates used:  ????
Inside of helmet:  Adjustrap
Manufacturer:  Sports Product Corp., A
Subsidiary of Laich
Logo:  screen printed
Thoughts:  This is the only helmet like this I have found, but I'm sure there would be others out there.  At the moment, unless I hear otherwise, this helmet was never worn by the A's

Dates used:  1998 - Present
Inside of helmet:  Adjustrap
Manufacturer:  Sports Product Corp., A
Subsidiary of Laich
Logo:  screen printed
Thoughts:  The newer style helmet.  A helmet that Eric Chavez leads his team with.

Dates used:  Never

Dates used:  2000 - Present
Inside of helmet:  Adjustrap
Manufacturer:  Sports Product Corp.
Logo:  screen printed
Thoughts:  I think that the A's have worn this helmet at some time as an alternate, but I'm not for sure if this helmet has ever been used.

Dates used:  Promo
Inside of helmet:  Adjustrap
Manufacturer:  Sports Product Corp.
Logo:  screen printed
Thoughts: This is some type of promotional helmet that the A's have never worn.  It is more of a grey color than the silver color that it appears to be here.
